Memories of St. Nicholas: A Spiritual Memorial

We headed to social media to ask people to share their memories of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church before it was destroyed on September 11, 2001. We received some wonder responses.

My fondest memory of St. Nicholas was when I went there on June 2 1985 the day before I left for Navy boot camp and received communion and the priest blessed me and told me not to be nervous that St. Nick is the patron saint of sailors and he would watch over and protect me. I went and received communion every year after that on my name day." ~N.T.
